Kage
Kage (shadow) explores a sonic space based on perception and depth.
Slow drones and continuous pads, with occasional koto elements, create an immersive listening experience without abrupt variation, focused on continuity and presence.
- Ma (間 — space / interval / silence)
→ Establishes a minimal sound environment with few elements and a strong presence of silence.
- Kage (影 — shadow)
→ Introduces diffuse sound layers with no clearly identifiable source.
- Utsuroi (移ろい — transition / gradual change)
→ Slow evolution of textures without contrast or interruption.
- Hibiki (響き — resonance / vibration)
→ Focus on sound propagation and sustained resonance.
- Yoru (夜 — night)
→ Reduction of higher frequencies and emphasis on lower ranges.
- Kū (空 — emptiness / void)
→ Simplification of the sound material with fewer active elements.
- Sabi (寂 — solitude / aging / patina)
→ Stabilized sound with slight degradation or textural aging.
- Kaze (風 — wind / breath)
→ Introduction of slow and irregular spatial movement.
- Shin’en (深淵 — abyss / depth)
